...to the Coastal and Marine Geology website. Stennis Space Center (SSC) is an ideal base of operations for our research. SSC is in close proximity to fluvial, coastal, shelf and open ocean environments and includes many partner agencies; National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO), National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Our research is focused in the following areas:

1. Sedimentary processes in fluvial, lacustrine, coastal and marine environments

2. Fates and impacts of terrestrial, aquatic and marine contaminants

3. Transport and fate of terrestrially derived organic carbon in the coastal zone

4. Applications and development of sedimentological, radiochemical and geochemical methods in geology, limnology, aquatic and marine sciences
