Who am I? I'm no one special, just another schmuck with his own web site. They're a dime a dozen nowadays. I also happen to work for the University of Southern Mississippi in the iTech (formerly OTR, or Office of Technology Resources) department.

Things about me:

  • I'm 39 years old. *gasp!* How in the hell did that happen? I prefer to say I'm 27 hexidecimally though (in hexidecimals, the first digit is a multiple of 16, the second digit is added to that...works fine until you get into the A, B, C, D, and E aspects...in 3 years, I'll be 2A hexidecimally). The big thing is, though, how old do I feel? Most of the time, I feel like I'm still just 21, and often act like it. Winking Smile According to a quiz, though, I'm more like 22 (the last time I took, and posted, this I was 23...I'm getting younger as I get older!) in my mind:

    You Are 22 Years Old
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

  • I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology here at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993. I started graduate studies in Anthropology in the Fall of that year, but did not complete it. Although I love the field of Anthropology, there really isn't much of a future in it for me, unless I were to teach (and I hate teaching). Before too long, I switched over to graduate studies in Library and Information Science, mostly because the field of information technology interested me, but I knew I didn't have the patience to go through an actual computer science program. So LIS was the next best thing. However, I burned out on school shortly before getting my master's degree. Perhaps sometime I'll go back to finish it, but...not likely.
  • I began working for the University in 1990 as a student, and became a full time employee with iTech, formerly known as 'OTR' or the Office of Technology Resources on June 1, 1998. (iTech, do you tech?) The sharp will notice 8 years between starting as a student and becoming full time. Yeah, anyway, don't ask, lol. Currently, I just changed positions, moving from the Systems team to the Application Support team. So far, aside from headaches with a certain book company, I'm loving what I do now.
  • Physical Stats: I'm 6' tall, weigh about 190 pounds (fluctuates some), my hair is brown when my head's not shaved, with brown eyes. I tend towards a farmer's tan these days.

Well, I guess that's about it. I mean, what more do you really need to know about me? Anything else, feel free to ask.
