Welcome to my website! Natalie, Caleb and Noah (my sons), and I live in Hattiesburg, MS where I work as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. My wife and I have been Mississippi residents all of our lives except for four years spent in Athens, GA where I pursued and earned a PhD in Political Science from the University of Georgia.

My research interests focus on religion and politics, interest groups, and American politics and policy in general.

My nonprofessional interests include studying theology/philosophy (click here for my theology-philosophy page) and college football. As an undergraduate at Southern Miss, I became a permanent fan of Golden Eagle athletics and anxiously await the day that the Eagles will win a national championship (but I will settle for a steady diet of conference championships for the moment).
