International Courtly Literature Society/North American Branch




The object of the International Courtly Literature Society is to promote the study and criticism of the literature of courts and court-oriented cultures, particularly the medieval literature of Western Europe. The North American Branch shall actively encourage the involvement of those from all academic disciplines concerned with the study and teaching of courtly literature.



Call for papers, MLA, Jan. 2011

We hope to sponsor two sessions at the next MLA (Jan. 2011). One session is guaranteed, the other must be applied for.

-- Translations and Adaptations at Medieval Courts

-- Courtly Religion
Papers invited on any aspect of religious practice at Medieval Courts (books, texts, fictional representations). Please send 300-word abstracts by 15 March to Maureen Boulton, mboulton@nd.edu.
