I am Shiao Wang, an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. I also serve as the coordinator of the graduate program in our department.

I received my Ph.D. in Physiology from Louisiana State University and then worked for three years as a postdoctoral investigator at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

My main teaching responsibilities include Comparative Animal Physiology (BSC 450/550) and Mammalian Physiology (BSC 451/551).

My students, technician and I conduct research in the areas of marine biology, environmental biology and microbiology, using molecular techniques.
