Kevin J. Dougherty

Kevin Dougherty joined the Department of History at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005
after completing a 23 year career as an Army officer.  He teaches classes on military history and world
civilizations.  Mr. Dougherty has a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy and master's
degrees from Troy State University and the Army War College.  

His books include The Peninsula Campaign
of 1862: A Military Analysis (University Press of Mississippi, 2005) and Civil War
Leadership and  Mexican War Experience (University Press of Mississippi, 2007).
