Welcome my personal homepage!

I am originally from Saskatchewan, Canada where I grew up on a farm near the town of Lanigan. I received my Bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Saskatchewan in 1997 and 1999 respectively. In 2003 I received my Doctorate in Economics from Iowa State University. I am currently an assistant professor of Economics in the College of Business at the University of Southern Mississippi.

My primary research interests are in economic growth and technology, technology externalities, regional economics, and spatial econometrics. My courses include principles of macroeconomics, principles of microeconomics, economic issues, managerial statistics, and regression analysis.

When I am not spending my time conducting research or teaching I can be found either biking, backpacking, or off on some mountain trek or skiing excursion.
