Andrew P. Haley teaches courses on cultural history, popular culture, gender, sexuality, labor, food, and the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. I also teach courses on historical methods and the philosophy of history.
I place a strong emphasis in all my classes on reading and interpreting primary source materials, on research and writing, and on the contingencies of history. History is not a fact. History is an argument about the past.
Below are a variety of tools for undergraduate and graduate students as well as a collection of syllabi from past courses. Current syllabi and course webpages are accessible from my home page.
