Research Projects:

Using UV-vis spectrophotometer to measure DOM optical proporties

I use cross-flow ultrafiltration to isolate aquatic colloids with sizes between 1 kiloDalton (kDa) and 0.45 micron

I also use flow field-flow fractionation techniques (left) in my thesis research , working with Dr. Bjorn Stolpe in Guo’s Lab.(below).

I collect monthly samples from the Mississippi River, one of the largest world rivers, and the Pearl River, a small forested, black water river in Mississippi.
