Jeff Bowersox, Ph.D.

Welcome to my website.  Here you will find links to my courses as well as general information about my professional self.  If you have any questions or want to contact me, email is sure to reach me, as is snail mail.

I am an assistant professor of modern European history at the University of Southern Mississippi with degrees from Georgetown College (B.A., 1999), the University of Cincinnati (M.A., 2001), and the University of Toronto (Ph.D. under the supervision of professor Modris Eksteins, 2008).

While my current research project examines colonialism and youth culture in Imperial Germany, other research and teaching topics that lie close to my heart include modern Germany and modern colonialism, cultural history, education, the African diaspora (especially in Europe), and modern Berlin.

More information can be found through the links at the top of the page.  A thorough curriculum vitae can be found here.

When not teaching or researching, I am most likely to be found spending time with my family, rooting for my beloved Detroit Tigers/Michigan Wolverines/Kentucky Wildcats/Arsenal FC, or working on National History Day in Mississippi.  You can also catch me practicing for my impending midlife crisis by running around a Hattiesburg football pitch.
